It seems fitting that Henry Ford, an institution dedicated to preserving the past, hold events focusing on classic cocktails-the retro-style drinks are drawing crowds to the Club’s new metro Detroit such as Oakland and sugar House Detroit.
Eat local roots seasonal night at Henry Ford will feature refreshments classics like Manhattans, sidecars and Tom Collinses. Guests will get a ticket to sample cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
“A lot of people looking to become more knowledgeable about the culture of classic cocktails,” said Jesse Eisenhuth, who runs a food museum service. “This is the same appeal they have with history-want to know how the past has been formed now. Classic cocktails that are part of the tradition of the good times that our parents and grandparents together. “
Henry Ford has partnered with New Holland Brewery and a Spirit from the Netherlands and also local mixologists prefer to make a classic cocktails which use New Holland distilled spirits.
